Early Life

Born in 1994, Wynkoop grew up in Davis' Grove Street neighborhood at the height of 1990s gang violence. His father Shaun Wynkoop was injured in a drive-by shooting when Jaxon was 10, fuelling his complex relationship with the community. As a teen he resisted local pressures to join gang life.

LSPD Career

After high school Wynkoop enrolled in the police academy, committed to helping the neighbourhood that raised him. His natural leadership abilities earned quick promotions to detective and eventually captain.
